Ex-Appointees Vow To Stop APC, Ogboru, Others In Delta
Hundreds of former and current political appointees in Delta State at the weekend sent a loud and clear message to the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate, Chief Great Ogboru, with a vow to stop him at the polls.
A statement by spokesman of the Forum of Past and Present Political Appointees of the state government, Mr Jubilee Akufu, stated: “Delta State is going in the right direction and the people recognise that. Deltans are pleased with the plans of the incumbent governor and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, for the future, and they will vote him again.”
He paid glowing tributes to the governor’s impressive credentials, particularly his qualities, numerous achievements and his consistency in standing up always on the side of the people and justice.
Rising from a meeting of the Forum weekend, Mr Akufu commended Okowa for bringing fiscal discipline and a reform-minded approach to governance in the state.
“Governor Ifeanyi Okowa deserves credit and thanks for his civil and respectful approach to governing. The APC gubernatorial flag bearer is an outsider. He lacks the necessary vision, training and experience to fix the state’s most pressing problems,” the current and ex-aides said.
Mr Jubilee Akufu also praised the governor for his transparency, prudent stewardship and application of the tax payer money and effective management of the general public resources.
