Ex-Lawmaker, Others Dump APC For PDP
Over 300 members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led by a former member of Rivers State House of Assembly, Chukwu Akara Wogu, have joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the State.
The defecting members of APC and their leader, Wogu, joined PDP at the party’s meeting held in Oyigbo last Sunday.
The former lawmaker who served in the 7th Assembly of the state representing Oyigbo Constituency was formerly received alongside the supporters by leaders of PDP at the party meeting.
The former Assembly member said he decided to move to PDP with his supporters across the Local government area to support Governor Wike’s developmental achievements in the state.
He said the continued crisis in APC showed that the party was not prepared to give the state the development the people of the state deserved. Wogu promised to work with the party to give all candidates, including Governor Nyesom Wike, victory.
