Shun Criminality, Monarch Urges Youth
Youths have been ad
vised to shun cultism and all forms of criminality in order to achieve an ideal environment that would engender development.
The Okaan-Ama Unyeada Kingdom, HRH (Dr) Israel Uzama Otuo IX gave the advice during the 16th anniversary celebration of his Supreme Court victory recently in the area.
He stated that no meaningful development could take place in a hostile environment and urged the youths to embrace healthy habits that could usher in growth and development.
Uzama noted that the best way to live, was to live a life devoid of crime and criminality, adding that skills acquisition centres should be established in each of the local government areas to engage the youths in meaningful venture.
The monarch used the opportunity to appeal to the State Government to upgrade his stool to a first class status given the numerical strength of his kingdom.
He lauded the state Governor , Chief Nyesom Wike for his exemplary leadership style and prayed God to continue to give him wisdom to take the state to higher heights.
Earlier, the monarch had inaugurated a seven-man caretaker committee to run the affairs of Unyeada Divisional Council of Chiefs with Chief Mark N. Aja as its chairman.
Highlights of the occasion were formal permission of the monarch by the chiefs to sit on his throne and a novelty football match.
