RSNC GM Urges Journalists To Uphold Ethics
The Acting General
Manager of the Rivers State Newspaper Corporation (RSNC), Chief Soye Wilson Jamabo, has urged journalists in the state to discharge their duties in line with the ethics of their profession.
Chief Jamabo, who stated this when officials of the Rivers State council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) paid him a courtesy visit in his office also stressed the need for the NUJ to work for the general interest of the state as the umbrella body of all journalists in the State.
The General Manager also commended the union for its commitment to professionalism, adding that he would continue to support the union at all times.
Earlier, Chairman of the Rivers State Council of NUJ, Mr. Omoni Ayo Tamuno stressed the need for the state government to provide more equipment to the corporation to enhance its productivity. Mr. Tamuno said that the corporation had contributed immensely towards the development of the state, saying, it, therefore, deserved the support of the state government.
He commended the State Government for the installation of a rotary machine for the corporation and expressed satisfaction with the quality of staff in the corporation.
The NUJ chairman used the occasion to call on staff of the corporation to continue to put in their best and work with the management to improve the fortunes of the corporation.
