‘Accessibility Within Lagos Ports, Now Less Stressful’
The Managing Direc
tor of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Alhaji Sanusi Bayero, has attributed the free movement of vehicles within the Lagos ports to the successful completion of its 1.6 kilometres of road network.
Bayero said this recently, after his familiarisation tour of the Lagos Ports Complex (LPC), Apapa.
He commended the foresight of previous managements of the authority for carrying out the projects, which he said, “is of tremendous value to the operations of NPA’’.
The managing director noted that the access roads within the complex had made movements less stressful, especially vehicular movements.
Bayero, who was accompanied by top management staff of NPA, also inspected the facilities within the complex for an on-the-spot assessment.
He commended the quality of works done on the project, especially the breakwaters, which he said, was relevant to the nation’s navigational safety.
