Lawmaker Promises More Projects
The lawmaker representing
Etche Constituency I in the State House of Assembly and the APC flag bearer in the February State House of Assembly election, Hon Victor Amadi has assured the people of Igbodo and Obibi/Okwukabi wards that he will provide more developmental projects in their areas if re-elected in the forth-coming general elections.
Hon Victor Amadi made the promise during the APC ward-to-ward campaign rally held at Igbodo and Obibi wards in Etche local government area, Wednesday.
Speaking at the palaces of the Ehi I of Okehi Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Eze Sylvanus Ukaegbu, and the paramount ruler of Obagi clan, HRH Eze Stanley Munonye Ogbu, the lawmaker promise to provide electricity in the communities across the two wards as well as embark on various empowerment programmes for the people.
He announced that work would resume on the on-going Ezelaka-Akwu obwor electrification prospects, adding that the electrification project would be completed before the end of his first tenure.
At Igbodo, the APC flag bearer urged the people to have faith in the party and vote for its candidates during the elections, saying that more development projects would be executed in their area.
At Obibi Primary School, Hon Victor Amadi assured the people of Ward 9 that the security challenges facing the ward would be addressed and promised to attract developmental projects to the area. Earlier the Director-General, for the campaign team, Hon Jerome Okere thanked the people for their confidence on the party and assured that there would be developmental projects in the areas.
In their separate speeches the royal fathers gave their royal blessings to the candidate and prayed for success of all the APC candidates in the local government area.

Rivers Judiciary Denies Issuing Court Order Stopping SOLAD from Swearing in RSCSC Members
The Rivers State Judiciary has denied a media report claiming that Justice Frank Onyiri of the State High Court issued an injunction order restraining the Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (rtd), from inaugurating the newly appointed members of the Rivers State Civil Service Commission (RSCSC).
In a statement issued by the Deputy Chief Registrar in charge of litigation at the High Court, Menenen Poromon (Esq), the state Judiciary disassociated itself from the report, describing it as malicious and fabricated.
The statement emphasized that the report was a falsehood and a misrepresentation of what transpeared in the court.
Poromon clarified that no such order was issued by Justice Onyiri or any other judge of the High Court of the state and urged the public to disregard the information, as it lacked any iota of truth.
The statement however advised the public to verify any information concerning the state Judiciary directly from the office of the Chief Registrar, High Court of the State, to avoid spreading of misinformation.
