Tide Editor Joins Okrika Council Of Chiefs
The Editor of The Tide
Newspaper, Mr. Soye Wilson Jamabo has been admitted into the Okrika Divisional Council of Chiefs as Ogboru 111 and Head of Ogboru War Canoe House of Okrika.
The installation ceremony which took place at the Ogoloma Civic hall attracted people from all walks of life.
The provost of the council of Chiefs, Chief Adolphus Oyo said that the Editor had been given a high office and was expected to discharge his duties accordingly.
Chief Oyo also described The Editor as a worthy son of Okrika.
“He is worthy for the post and will fulfill his promise to his House and the Okrika community. The Council of Chiefs wish him luck in his new endeavour,” he said.
The ODCC provost stressed the need for the new Chief to use his position to transform his community and the entire society, saying that is tantamount to rendering service to God.
He further charged him to carry out his duties with the fear of God so as to ensure the peace and progress of the House.
Responding, the newly installed chief, Chief Soye Jamabo pledged to work diligently and bring honour to his family and the entire Okrika in general.
He thanked the Okrika Divisional Council of Chiefs for recognising him as their worthy son and giving him the opportunity to serve his people.
On his part, Chief Golden Amapakabo described the installation of Ogboru 111 as well deserved, stressing that Chief Jamabo would not disappoint the council.
