Bizman Hails Kalabaris Over Monarch’s Burial
A business mogul, Chief Luck Brown, has expressed his satisfaction with the people of Kalabari Kingdom over the successful funeral service in honour of the Amanyanabo of Kalabari Kingdom, His Serene Majesty, Late King T.J.T Princewill, Amachree Xl
Brown, in an interview with newsmen in Buguma said the peaceful disposition of his kinsmen which led to the successful funeral of their revered King deserves commendation.
The ancient city of Buguma hosted thousands of august visitors from far and near to pay last respects to the serene Majesty.
Brown noted that the Kalabaris are proud associating with late Prof Primcewill, a man he said had paid his dues in the peace the people are witnessing today.
He said that the late Serene Majesty was instrumental to the peaceful disposition of the people.
“The Kalaharis and the world are celebrating a man whose contributions to the development of the Kingdom cannot be faulted. The late Amanyanabo’ s funeral had solidified the unity, love and oneness amongst the people of Kalabari. As a mark of honour, we owe it a duty to leverage on the indelible legacies the Serene King had left behind. As a people, we are committed towards ensuring his good deeds are sustained to the letter. Late Prof Princewill fought, stood and sacrificed for the overall interest of his people, I can assure you that our people are cognizant of this fact and will do everything possible to sustain it. It is the highest honour we as a people can give him even after his demise. There is need for us to work together in synergy towards achieving the desired goals of bettering the lot of the people in line with the traditions of the people which our forebears bequeathed us. I urge all stakeholders to work as team and make sacrifice for the well being of the people.”
Brown called on the aggrieved to shelve their grievances and work in synergy to take the Kingdom to a higher level.
He emphasised the need to pursue peace which remains fundamental to the progress of any given society.
He urged the kingmakers to ensure equity, justice and fairness in electing a new Amanyanabo when the time comes.
He appealed to the youths to shun acts inimical to the peace, unity and growth of the Elem Kalabari and give necessary support to the elders as the process in selecting a new Amanyanabo begins after the final funeral rites.
