NPFL: Rivers United’s Striker Promises Fans Super Six Title
Rivers United FC of Port Harcourt striker, Nyima Nwagua has promised fans and supporters of the club to win the 2022/2023 abridged Nigeria Professional Football League,(NPFL) season back to back.
According to him, their mission as a team was to win the League back to back and their first target have been achieved by securing Super six ticket, adding that the next stage is to win Super six.
Nwugua, said this on Thursday in chat with Tidesports shortly after they defeated Doma United 2-0 in a rescheduled match day 12 of the abridged NPFL at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.
He explained that they are going to Super six with high hopes and positive mindset to win. He noted that they have not lost any game recently so they will keep on winng.
The striker who scored the opening goal against Doma United said they will carry the winning momentum to play in the super six.
“ I feel very good scoring the opening goal today because this is our last home game this season so I want to thank our supporters and fans for supporting us.
“ I dedicate the goal to my fans, supporters and family.
“ We are going for the Super six with positive mindset and you can see with me that we have lost quite a number of games, so we are going to continue with that winning mentality.
“ My target as a striker is to score more goals which I have been doing” Nwagua said.
