Banigo Hails Conduct Of Presidential, NASS Elections
Rivers State Deputy Governor and candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for Rivers West Senatorial District, Dr.(Mrs) Ipalibo Harry Banigo, has expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the 2023 Presidential and National Assembly Elections in Obuama.
Dr. Banigo stated this shortly after casting her vote in Ward 14, Unit 10, in Obuama, Degema Local Government Area, on Saturday.
According to the deputy governor, although there was a slight delay in the process, the election was smooth and peaceful.
“We were to start by 8.30 but now it is 11.30 am, we have 21 polling units in Harry’s Town, unlike when we had 10, so obviously it will take some time for INEC to go round. They have gone round and distributed materials to all the 21 units. It is very satisfactory and I enjoy the peace and calmness around Harry’s Town”, she said.
Dr Banigo expressed delight that the BIVAS machines were working accurately and urged INEC officials to transmit results electronically, stressing that Nigerians need to get the best now.
