NWFL: Rivers Angels Coach Optimistic To Play Super Six
The Head Coach of Rivers Angels FC of Port Harcourt, Edwin Okon has said that he is sure to qualify for the Super Six at the ongoing Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL).
He stated that in spite of the fact that they played goalless draw against Delta Queens in match day six at home, he is optimistic about the qualification.
Okon said this on Wednesday, during his post match interview with sports journalists, shortly after his side played goalless draw against group A leaders, Delta Queens, at the University of Port Harcourt Sports Complex.
According to him, all hopes were not lost for his team for the Super six, adding that he will fortify the team in the second round of the competition.
“ Today’s result is not a good one for our team. Though the game was tough, we did not lose but we are not supposed to be dropping points at home, we should rather be picking points both home and away.
“ After the first fifteen minutes we lost concentration and the visitors took over the game and my players were not fighting but were playing to the gallery. All hopes were not lost for the Super Six , we are still certain.
“This is football we still have good chances to come back”, Okon stated.
