Lifemate Golf Tournament Tees-Off In PH, Sept 10
Preparations are in top gear ahead of the Lifemate Golf Tournament slated to tee-off this weekend at the Python international Golf club in Port Harcourt.
The competition secretary of the club, Loveday Demua who disclosed this in an interview with journalists said over 200 golfers have registered for the tourney which will feature both professionals and armatures within the Garden city of Port Harcourt.
According to Demua, the tournament is aimed at giving visibility and marketability to Lifemate, a global furniture outfit, adding that participants that excel and come tops in their various categories will smile-home with furniture and prizes.
He further hinted that participating golfers will be given tickets that will enable them to purchase Lifemate furniture at discount rates.
Demua, a former secretary of the Rivers State Amateur Golf Association also disclosed that all the participants will tee –off at the same time and finish at the same time which according to him is called “shotgun” in the serving sport; stressing that the tournament is part of programmes lined up to revive activities at the Python International Golf Club.
He called on intending participants to sharpen their kits and skills ahead of the tournament which will include other side attractions such as music, comedy, dance and other forms of entertainment.
