Supporters Club Chairman Hails Rivers United Over Wins

The Supporters Club Chairman of Rivers United FC of Port Harcourt, Comrade Franklin Owhor, has commended his team for winning the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) and the State AITEO football competition this season.
He made the commendation of the team shortly after the Pride of Rivers, as the club is called, were crowned winners of this year’s AITEO football competition last Wednesday at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt, after beating Police Crime Busters 3-1.
Owhor expressed happiness that his club won two trophies in a season and urged the players to maintain their current form in order to win more trophies.
“I am happy that Rivers United won two trophies this season. I also commend my  club members for cheering the team to victory against all odds.
“Members of supporters club have actually sacrificed their time, energy and money to support the team. We travel with the team to both far and near, we thank God for answering our prayers.
‘This time, we will also give them the best support to win the National AITEO Cup and present it to the number one supporter of the club, Chief Nyesom Wike, the Governor of the State,”
Comrade Owhor said.
