Kwara United’s Ex-Players Protest Unpaid Wages
Kwara United ex-players have taken to the streets of Ilorin, Kwara state capital to protest and express their displeasure over their unpaid wages.
The players finished the peaceful protest walk in front of the Kwara state governor’s office today raising placards which has written in them their displeasure.
Tidesports source reports that Kwara United team bus had been attacked twice by a former player of the club by the name Francis in two separate occasions.
The first time was the team’s visit to Uyo when they were supposed to take on Akwa United and the recent one was in Aba when they were to face Enyimba just last weekend which forced the game to be rescheduled from its Saturday schedule to Sunday morning.
There has been no official statement from the club on the reported attacks from its former player or on the peaceful protest today.
As at writing this report, it is not confirmed how much and how month of salaries these players are being owed.
