Youths Lament Effect Of Oil Spill
Youths of Kula Kingdom in Akuku-Toru Local Government Area of the State have raised an alarm over an ongoing spill from the facility allegedly operated by Aiteo Eastern Exploration and Production Limited.
President-General of Kula Youths Organisations, Worldwide, Japus Ekine in an interview with newsmen, lamented that many communities of Kula Kingdom were affected by spill.
He claimed that the incident was not a sabotage but a mechanical error on the part of the company.
The youth leader decried the negative impact of the hydrocarbon spillage on the people and the ecosystem.
He appealed to the State Government and other relevant agencies to intervene and save the people of Kula Kingdom and their environment.
