Banigo Lauds Wike Over Trans-Kalabari Road Project
The Rivers State Deputy Governor, Dr Ipalibo Harry Banigo has expressed gratitude to the State Chief Executive, Chief Nyesom Wike for flagging off the Trans-Kalabari Road Project.
Banigo expressed this in a statement from the Government House in Port Harcourt, yesterday.
According to the deputy governor, Wike has done what the proverbial Napoleon could not do, noting that the Kalabari people are eternally grateful to the governor for connecting several Kalabari communities by road.
Banigo said, “The Trans-Kalabari Road, which was abandoned by previous administrations because of the lack of political, will and commitment to invest such a huge amount of financial resources to execute this all important road project. Governor Wike by his actions has left no one in doubt that he is indeed a Kalabari Friendly Governor.”
The deputy governor, who said various sandfilling/land reclamation and shore protection projects are on-going simultaneously in Asari-Toru, Akuku-Toru, Degema as well as other riverine communities in the state, called on the Rivers people to continue to support the Wike-led administration.
