Boboye Urges Rivers United’s Players To Step Up Game
The head coach of Akwa United football club of Uyo, Kennedy Boboye, has advised Rivers United FC of Port Harcourt to step up their game and score early goals in games, especially in their continental engagements.
He stated that continental competitions are different ball game from domestic matches, adding that, Rivers United has to improve on their playing pattern and get early goals to ensure victory.
Boboye, gave the advice over the weekend, during a media chat with Sports journalists, in Port Harcourt.
“My only concern is that Rivers United is my state team.
They played well but as a team going to represent the country in the continental, I expect them to do more with their playing pattern.
I give them kudos but they need to push their game a bit faster.
Their game is slow and if they play like this in the continental they will push them out fast.
“I just wish them well when the continental kicks off” Boboye said.
