‘Akinjide, Success Story For Younger Generations’ -Alli
A former Secretary to the Oyo State Government, Alhaji Sharafadeen Alli has described the late Chief Richard Akinjide as a success story for younger generations.
This is contained in a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen yesterday in Ibadan.
Our source reports that the former Attorney General of the Federation died on Tuesday morning at 88.
Alli, who is also the Ekefa Balogun of Ibadanland, said that the late two-time minister was also a role model for younger generations and worthy of emulation in many ways.
“As an Ibadan man, his name is still to be mentioned as one of the role models and success stories for the younger generation. He achieved many greats in his life.
“For me, he was a role model for the generations after him. In the legal profession, he rose to the peak as an Attorney General of Nigeria.
“In politics, he was involved from pre-independence to the top echelon of the ruling National Party of Nigeria (NPN) in the second republic”, he stated.
He said Akinjide, as a family man, raised children who were already flying the flag of the family.
