Cleric Commits To Govt’s Directives On COVID-19 Spread
The Administrative Secretary of God‘s Heritage Ministry Int‘l , Pastor Mrs. Chibuzor Ijiofor, has said that her church is not in opposition to government’s policy over its directives to the public or organization to curb the Coronavirus disease which the World Health Organization has declared as a global pandemic.
Speaking exclusively to newsmen in her office in Port Harcourt, Mrs.Ijiofor said if government had seen the need of curbing spread of the disease, it means so much because according to her “the government has a lot of information that the public don’t have”.
She said that what the government at all levels are doing is to safeguard lives.
She maintained that as a church, they were asking members to look unto God at this moment of challenges, positing that they will adopt any measure prescribed globally to curb the spread of the disease.
“We are going to use the best form prescribed by government.
“We have instructed all our members to always use the hand sanitizer placed around the church exit and entry points”, she stated.
Pastor Ijiofor further stressed that as a measure by her church, they are going to break the services into groups and also continue to sensitise members on how best to control the situation, adding that so far there is a medical team that has been sensitising members.
