NULGE Tasks New Rivers Executive On Service Delivery
The National Organising Secretary of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Comrade Ajewole Ayodele, has advised members of the newly elected executive committee of the union in Rivers State to be up and doing in terms of service delivery and to discharge their duties in accordance with their oath of office.
Ayodele, who gave the charge during the delegates conference of the union in Port Harcourt last Saturday also urged them to justify the huge confidence reposed on them by the delegates by serving with diligence and honesty.
Also speaking, the President of NULGE in Cross River State and Coordinating Chairman of the union in the South-South, Comrade Ayande Godwin, enjoined members of the union in the State to give their unalloyed support to the new executive to enable it succeed.
While thanking the delegates for their display of maturity during the election, Godwin indicated that they had by so doing set a good example for others to follow.
At the end of the conference, eleven members were elected into the executive to pilot the affairs of the union in the state.
Those elected include Comrade Clifford Paul, President, Comrade Anthony Lenyie, Vice President, Comrade Glory Orubarasuo, Treasurer and Comrade Opubo Briggs, Publicity Secretary , among others.
