FAAN Declares Rivers Safe For Investment …As Nsirim Takes Advocacy Campaign To Airport
The Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), has declared Rivers State as one of the safest places to live and invest in Nigeria.
The Regional General Manager (RGM), South South/South East, Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria, Mr. Felix AkinbuMi made the declaration at the Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa during #OurStateOurResponsibility advocacy visit by the Permanent Secretary, Rivers State Ministry of Information and Communications, Pastor Paulinus Nsirim and some directors of the Ministry. Akinbumi said the Port Harcourt International Airport which has one of the best terminal buildings in the country will be licensed before the end of the year.
The RGM said since February 18, 2019 when he assumed duty in Rivers State, he has never had any cause of regret.
“This is a safe state. The one who is in charge of the state, so many call him “Mr Project”, some call him Mr Quality Project as doing a good job,” he said.
Earlier, the Permanent Secretary, Rivers State Ministry of Information and Communications, Pasotr Paulinus Nsirim said Governor Nyesom Wike is desirous of leaving behind a befitting legacy for posterity.
Nsirim said the Governor’s new Vision was tailored towards ensuring that everyone living and doing business in Rivers State feels the impact of good governmence.
He however said despite the huge effort of Governor Wike at developing the state, some persons are busy de-marketing the state.
Nsirim who described FAAN as a critical stakeholder in the Rivers project, enjoined the Regional General Manager and other officials of the authority to see themselves as brand ambassadors of the state.
The Permanent Secretary said the advocacy visit was to seek their support as a critical stakeholder to change the negative perception about Rivers State.
