NAMA To Address Retirees’ Benefits
The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) has expressed its determination to fast-rack as well as tackle the payment of entitlements, and other emoluments to retirees of the agency.
The Managing Director of the agency, Capt. Fola Akinkuotu, who disclosed this in a statement through the Head,Public Affairs of the agency, Olajumoke Adetona, and made available to aviation correspondents on Tuesday lamented that retirees are often left to wallow in penury,after putting in 35 years of service to their fatherland.
According to Akinkuotu, pensioners wallow in penury as their entitlements are subjected to all manner of administrative and bureaucratic bottlenecks.
The NAMA boss however, assured that retirees benefits henceforth, would be paid at their point of exit,and commended staff for their contributions to the growth of the agency.
He also enjoined staff of the agency to continue to put in their best ,assuring that their labour would not be in vain.
“It is sad to see workers not enjoying their retirement lives. Henceforth, retirees would be paid their entitlements at their point of exit”, he said.
Akinkuotu also applauded retiring staff of the agency for their contributions and service to the agency, adding that the agency was able to get to where it is through the dedication, hard work and sense of purpose .
