Ex- LG Boss Decries Politics Of Bitterness

The first elected Chairman of Etche Local Government Council, Sir Isaiah Choko, has urged Etche sons and daughters to eschew politics of bitterness but to focus on the development of Etche.
Choko gave this advice at the 2018 Ogbakor Etche December Convention held at Obiri Etche, Umugwu Okehi in Etche Local Government Area.
The former council boss who was chairman of the convention called on politicians in positions of trust to use their positions to develope Etche land.
He regretted that instead of using their positions for the development of Etche, some embark on politics of bitterness by blackmailing others.
“We will not remember you for the fleet of cars you acquired while in office but for the people you helped “, he said.
He praised Governor Nyesom Wike for the numerous projects he executed in Etche and Omuma Local Government Areas.
Choko also lauded the governor for appointing sons and daughters of Etche land, particularly the first Vice Chancellor and first High Court Judge from Etche land, stressing that the governor had proved that he has passion for the development of Etche
He assured Governor Wike that Etche will vote en mass for the actualisation of his second term in office as a way of appreciating his wonderful work in Etche.
