Rivers AUPCTRE Elects New Officers
The Amalgamated Union of Public Corporation, Civil Service Technical and Recreational Services Employees (AUPCTRE), Rivers State Council has elected new executive members to pilot the affairs of the union for the next four years.
Those elected include Patrick Igbo, as Chairman, Anucha Charity, Vice Chairman, Ibim Douglas, Treasurer, Maureen O. Oguebue, Welfare and Com Tobins Tamunoiminabo as the Secretary Admin.
Others are Emmanuel Orupabo, Financial Secretary; Williams O.F, Auditor; while Gbaraedo Bright was elected 2nd Vice Chairman.
Speaking at the 6th quadrennial state delegates conference of AUPCTRE held at the Ministry of Justice in Port Harcourt, the State Chairperson of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Beatrice Itubo commended the leadership of AUPCTRE in the state and urged the new executive to work together in order to justify the confidence reposed on them.
She told the new AUPCTRE state executive to join hands with the leadership of NLC in the state for better welfare of workers, adding that NLC in the state was prepared to resist introduction of the new Health Scheme by the state government.
