Ebonyi Journalist Gets Federal Appointment

The Managing Director of Golden Truth Global News Limited, publisher of Golden Truth Newspaper, Hon. James Nwite, is among the 5- man Board recently inaugurated into the Sokoto Rima River Basin Development Authority, a subsidiary of the Federal Ministry of Water Resources.
Inaugurating the board at the National Universities Commission, Maitama Abuja, the Minister in charge of the ministry, Engr. Suleiman Adamu, who represented President Muhammadu Buhari charged the newly appointees to be diligent and ensure that the confidence reposed in them by the president was not in vain.
Until the appointment, Hon. Nwite was a practicing journalist and founder of the Golden Truth Newspaper whose publications had greatly enhanced good governance in Ebonyi State.
As a community leader from Ekirigwe in Ndiagu Ishieke Autonomous Community, he influenced the rural electrification project in his community, helped in the establishment of Ndiagu Ishieke Community High School, supervised and ensured the completion of the MDG’s Health Centre at Ozanta-Ishieke, and drilled 6 number of boreholes through UNICEF intervention at Ekirigwe.
Hon. James Nwite, a pioneer graduate of Mass Communication, Ebonyi State University has held various positions which include the Pioneer Assistant Secretary, Mass Communication Department EBSU.
Hon. Nwite is currently the President General, Ndiagu Ishieke Community Development Union, Chairman, FADAMA Community Association, Chairman, Ndiagu Ishieke Rural Electrification Project, Chairman, Ebonyi L.G.A Environmental Sanitation Committee, Ndiagu Ishieke Community, Co-ordinator, Association of Town Union Presidents in Ebonyi LGA, made up of 11 communities in the council area, Auditor General, Federated Izzi Community Development Union.
The Federal Board Member was born into the family of Chief Nwite Nwodom of Ekirigwe Ishieke in Ebonyi Council area, Ebonyi State on the 25th of July 1979,
Hon. Nwite has bagged many Honours and Awards including Certificate of Excellence Local Education Authority, Agaie, Niger State and certificate of Honour from the Nigerian Christian Corpers Fellowship (NCCF), Niger State Chapter, Certificate of Merit from Dendo Secondary School, Niger State among others.
