National Youth Festival Gets Aug 16 Date
Zonal elimination for the 2017 edition of the National Youths Festival, scheduled to hold in Ilorin, Kwara State have been fixed to hold August 16, 2017.
Head coach of the Rivers State Sports Council, Reginald Briggs, made this known Tuesday, during an interview with Tidesports in Port Harcourt.
According to him, all team sports are preparing for the competition which is expected to kick off Wednesday in Benin, Edo State.
Meanwhile, states in the same zone with Rivers, includes, Edo, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Calabar and Delta State.
Any state that comes first in the various sport would represent the zone in that particular sport.
However, other individual sports are qualified for the competition which is billed to hold from September 7 to 17 in Kwara State.
Coach Briggs has said that his coaches are well prepared for the competition and are ready to compete favourably at the fiesta.
He further urged the athletes to remain disciplines and not relent in their good works, as they showcase their talent at the forthcoming championship.
