Supporters Club Boss Sure Of Rivers United’s Victory
Supporters Club Chairman of Rivers United Football Club of Port Harcourt, Franklin Owhor has expressed confidence that his side will take the maximum three points at stake as they lock horns with FUS RABAT of Morroco, on Wednesday next week, in the ongoing CAF Confederation cup championship.
The encounter will be United first home match in the group stage of the continental campaign and the only Nigerian club in the continent
He stated that the 3-1 loss to Club Africain of Tunisia last Sunday far away Tunis will ginger the players to ensure that they win their first home game and keep their hope alive to win the trophy.
Owhor said this in an exclusive interview with Tidesports , yesterday in Port Harcourt adding that Rivers United was just unlucky in last away game.
According to him, currently the players are in good form, but their major problem is to convert chances, saying that the technical manager of the team Stanley Eguma have a task to teach the players how to convert chances.
‘Honestly, if Rivers United had converted the chances they got they would have won Club Africain , because by my assessment they played better than their opponents. Owhor said.
The Supporters club boss further advised the players to be committed, to enable them win the match.
