Monarch Assures On Peace, Dev
The People of Omerelu in
Ikwerre Local Government Area have been assured of a peaceful and focused reign that would usher in unity and development.
The Paramount Ruler of Omerelu, His Royal Highness, Eze Benneth Ugo gave the assurance at a reception organised in his honour by his people.
He maintained that he would serve the people with the fear of God, adding that he would not tolerate crime and criminality in his domain.
According to him, the community would be restored to its lost glory, by ensuring that all culture and traditions of the people were revived.
Eze Ugo assured those who were aggrieved over perceived negligence, of his determination to rectify such anomaly.
He also stressed the need to build a united front, saying that Omerelu was noted for peace.
Also speaking, an illustrious son of the community and the Vice Chancellor of Rivers State University of Science and Technology Prof. Blessing Didi urged the people to give the monarch the necessary support and cooperation that he deserved.
He said the aim was to ensure rapid development and growth of the community under the kingship of Eze Ugo.
Prof. Didia expressed delight over Ugo’s confirmation as the substantive Paramount Ruler of Omerelu and appealed to the younger generation to be respectful to elders and constituted authorities, saying that it was the best way to showcase intellectual maturity.
