GMFI Summit 2016: Cleric Urges Men To Be Proactive
The International Direc
tor, Greater Evangelism World Crusade, Pastor Isaac Valentine Olori, has called on members of the Greater Men’s Fellowship International (GMFI) of the church to be proactive in their faith.
The charge was given at a summit with the theme: “The Way Forward”, organised by the GMFI and held at the Club Road branch of the church in Port Harcourt Township on Saturday.
In his welcome address, the President of GMFI, Evangelist Lolo K. Amachree, emphasised that, “we are brethren by virtue of our belief in our Lord Jesus Christ through the gospel preached by our founding father, Apostle G.D. Numbere of blessed memory and the various pastors”.
Amachree, however, enjoined the participants to key into Numbere’s last declaration: “The Vision Lives On”, and the notice of the leader of the second dispensation, Olori, that “There Remaineth Yet Very Much Lands To Be Possessed (Joshua 13:1)”.
Speaking, Olori, who convened the summit, appreciated the impressive turn out of the men from Rivers East and West, Abuja, Lagos, Anambra, Akwa Ibom, Cross River and Bayelsa East and West zones.
However, Olori said that he expected more questions on-line, and advised that men should not hesitate, when necessary, to seek help from their children in order to avail themselves of the benefits of the digital era.
Meanwhile, Olori, in his key note address entitled, “The Measures of a Man”, stressed the need for virile and selfless workers.
According to him, at least, five qualities, namely heart, understanding, responsibility, resourcefulness and proper relationship with God make up a true man.
Citing David and Nehemiah as examples, he urged men to be large-hearted, faithful and passionate for the work of God.
The man of God indentified the capacity for sound thinking and charged men to have understanding.
