Monarch Lauds Wike Over Road Project
A traditional ruler from
Otube Community in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State, Chief Kemakolom Nwanuo, has expressed satisfaction with on-going reconstruction of Rumukrushi-Igbo road by the State government.
Chief Nwanuo who is the traditional Prime Minister of his community said that the road when completed would boost economic and social activities in the area.
He stated this while speaking with journalists in his palace at Otube Etche over the weekend.
He lauded the State Governor, Chief Ezenwo Nyesom Wike for carrying the people along in the scheme of things, adding that the road was abandoned by past administrations in the state.
“The governor’s singular intervention in bringing the dividends of democracy to the community which was elusive to the people in the past has once again justified our confidence in him”.
The traditional ruler further used the medium to appeal to the state governor, to also extend the on-going rehabilitation of roads to Umuasikpu/Umuebulu and Igbo/Eneka roads, saying these roads were in bad condition.
According to him, “because of the dilapidated nature of these roads the Security Operatives find it difficult to access the road during crime incidentce”.
Chief Kemakolom Nwanuo assured the governor of the support of the community and called on the youth in the area to be law-abiding.
