Ikhana Sure Of Three Away Wins
Shooting Stars coach
Kadiri Ikhana has said his team’s 1-0 home win over Rivers United will prepare them for three straight away trips in the Nigeria league.
A first-half penalty by Shooting Stars leading scorer Wasiu Jimoh gave the Ibadan club are three points on Saturday.
Veteran coach Ikhana said the win will motivate his players ahead of the next three games.
“We played under pressure and that was why the game was difficult for us but winning this is a big tonic before going for the next three away games,” said the coach, who complained that several of his players are on the treatment table.
Shooting Stars are now eighth on the table with nine points from five matches.
