I Remain National Chairman Of PDP -Secondus
The embattled Acting
National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus, says he stills remains the Acting National Chairman of the party despite the court judgement which purportedly removed him from office.
Prince Secondus who said this in an interview with newsmen during the commissioning of Naval quarters in Ngo, headquarters of Andoni local government area, also insisted that the court never sacked him.
He said that the judgement was being misrepresented by the public, but added that he has already appealed the ruling to the Appeal Court. Prince Secondus explained that the constitution of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) provides that on the event of the removal of the motional chairman, the deputy chairman takes over and expressed the hope that the court of Appeal will upturn the ruling of the lower court.
He expressed the confidence that the presence of the ruling in Ikuru Town will provide security in the area, noting that it will check illegal oil bunkering, piracy and other acts of criminality.
Prince Secondus also commended the Ikuru Town Community for taking a wise decision host a naval base in the area and urged for better cooperation between the people and the navy.
