NAATO’s New Exco To Focus On Professionalism
The newly elected Chair
man of National Assocation of Athletic Technical officials (NAATO), Rivers State, Chapter , Ntehwe J. Mekele, has said that his administration would not give room to quacks and unqualified personnel to officiate any sportsing events in the state.
He stated that the leadership of NAATO will ensure that members apply international standard in all athletics events to give the competition creditability.
“Mekele said these shortly after he was elected as the Chairman of the association recently in Port Harcourt.
According to him, the present administration will place training and re-training of members at the front burner to improve their technical knowledge.
He said his administration will run an open door policy and carry everybody along.
“In this administration. I will ensure that our members apply international standard to officiate any tournament. Record set without NAATO Officials in any competition will not be recorded and reffered to”, Mekele said.
At the end of the election, 15 man executive was put in place to pilot the affairs of the body for four years.
