Aviation Forum To Brainstorm On Air Crash Preventive Strategies
Irked by the spate of air
crashes across the globe, aviation experts have concluded plans to meet in Nigeria to discuss strategies to reduce air accidents in the country and Africa.
An industry stakeholders, Mr John Nwosu, who made this known to newsmen, said the session has become imperative in view of the incessant air disasters in developing countries and the Asian continent.
According to him, Nigerian’s Minister of Aviation, local and global aviation experts and stakeholders are expected to grace the occasion scheduled to hold soon in Abuja.
Nwosu, said the event which will feature aviation equipment exhibition is designed to expose operators and participants to the latest security strategies that will launch into the new world order in the industry.
He said the forum is aimed to reduce drastically incidences of air disaster, banditry and terrorist attacks especially in emerging nations, noting that the time to look at latest preventive strategies is now.
“The importance of management and security in the industry cannot be over-emphasised in view of the frequency of air mishaps in developed countries of Asia, banditry and terrorism, which have claimed hundreds of lives and destroyed properties worth millions of dollars in many nation”, Nwosu stated.
According to him, the event will be the first of its kind in the aviation industry, pointing out that subsequent ones would be held annually in other countries.
