Ex-3SC Ace Eyes League Title With Pillars
Ex-3SC ace Azeez
Sobowale has said he hopes to win his first Nigeria Premier League championship with Kano Pillars.
‘Little Messi’ Shobowale was the man of the match when champions Pillars beat Lobi Stars 2-0 at home recently. He scored a goal and he was brought down for the penalty from which Pillars took the lead.
“The game against Lobi was one of my best games this season because they really gave a good account of themselves, but determination saw us through,” said the former Shooting Stars winger.
“I won a penalty for us and then scored the winning goal. I must commend all the players for a job well done.
“We are still leading on the league table and we are not ready to surrender this lead all the way till the end of the season. We all know what we are fighting for.
“We still have some clubs like Warri Wolves and Nasarawa chasing us closely for the league title. But will only be following us because the boys are really working towards making history this season by winning a third straight title.
“We are not ready to drop any points in our home games and we will also battle win some important points in our remaining away games.”
