Commissioner Harps On Firms’ Data Base
The Rivers State Commissioner For Commerce and Industries, Hon. Chuma Chinye, has stressed the need for business operators in the State to key into the Registration of Business Places initiative.
He said it would boost the potentials of registered companies as it would be on line and also provide needed information about such business outfits to government and other agencies that could require them.
Chinye who spoke in a recent meeting with Banks and the organised private sector in the state noted that while good number of organisations have reacted positively others were still being expected to do so.
He regretted that the State remains one of the places in Nigeria with least business data and noted that time has come for the necessary change in the interest of both the government and the organisations.
The Commissioner stated that the primary focus is to reform the process of business premises registration for comprehensive data base of organisations operating in the state.
He commended the Chairman of the implementation Committee, Mr. Sonye Barango for the commitment of the committee and urged him to redouble the effort of his committee for better result.
