Make Revenue Remitance Public – Lamido
Governor Sule Lamido of
Jigawa State has urged the Revenue Allocation Mobilisation and Fiscal Commission (RAMFC) to make public revenue from various sources remitted to the federation account.
Lamido made the call when he received a Federal Commissioner of RAMFC, Alhaji Adamu Muhammed, who paid him a courtesy call in Dutse.
He said that for transparency and accountability, the commission must ensure that all the monies remitted to the federation account from revenue sources were made known to Nigerians.
According to him, the people should know how much is being generated by the Federal Government and shared among the three tiers of government.
“There is need for Nigerians to know how much is being realised from all our sources of revenue like NNPC, Customs, FIRS and others.
Earlier in his remarks, Muhammed had said that his team was in the state to inaugurate the state office of the commission in Dutse.
He said that the commission would help the state to boost its internally generated revenue.
