Monarch Hails Amaechi’s Dev Strides

Ogbakiri (Wezine) Community in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State, Eze Ferdinand Mekwa Eleni-Ekenta, has lauded Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi for his various rehabilitation projects and programmes which have brought rapid development under a peaceful co-existence in the area.
The royal father made the commendation last Sunday, when chiefs, elders and the newly elected CDC members from Otonna’s autonomous compound paid him a solidarity visit in his palace at Oduoha, Ogbakiri.
He noted that Governor Amaechi’s administration had done a lot for the community through the provision of social amenities, infrastructural projects and appointments amongst others. He, therefore, charged the various Community Development Committees (CDS) in his dormain to emulate the development initiatives of the state government.
He urged them to initiate and implement self help projects in the community to complement government’s efforts.
He also directed them to carry along other social organisation and groups in the area, stressing that the development of a community was not an individual affair, but collective effort.
Eke Ekenta commended the Otonna’s compound for its vision, development initiatives and peaceful disposition in the community. The Head of Otonna’s autonomous compound, Chief Emmaunel Otonna in his response thanked the Royal Highness for his warm reception and assured him of their unalloyed loyalty and solidarity.
