Med-View Lauds Aviation Authorities On Air Return
The management of Med-View has lauded the Ministry of Aviation and Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) for the timely information to the public on air-return involving one of its flights that developed engine problem.
In a statement signed by David Babatunde on behalf of the management, the airline also commended the pilot of the B737-400, John Indome and the entire technical crew who took the cautionary action to return to Murtala Mohammed Airport Lagos following a surge in one of the two engines as the flight had departed from the airport 15 minutes earlier on its way to Abuja.
“The professional decision, which is in consonance with global practice is a clear demonstration of our commitment to safety of flights and passengers”, the statement added.
The airline also applauded the passengers on board the flight who remained undaunted and waited for the airline to provide an alternative aircraft to fly them to their various destinations – Abuja and Yola.
It reassured the air travelers that its flights on Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Yola routes would remain uninterrupted, adding that the affected engine was undergoing checks and necessary repairs and would be re-certified by NCAA before usage.
