Retired Perm Sec Resumes Duty As Cares DG
The Cross River Commissioner for Agriculture, Mr. James Aniyom, has commended a retired Permanent Secretary, Engr. Bassey Echemi for a job well-done during his service years.
Mr. James Aniyom made this commendation during the management meeting held at the ministry’s Headquarters.
The commissioner disclosed that, in harmonising the policy of the ministry to meet the productivity bench mark, that Engr. Echemi has been appointed the Director General, Cross River Agriculture and Rural Empowerment Scheme (CARES).
In his response, the retired Permanent Secretary, noted with delight that he lacked words to express his appreciation, thanking God for giving him a soft landing.
Engr. Bassey Echemi revealed that he had served in the NYSC workshop as an engineer, later proceeded to join a private company and there after worked with the United Nation as a farm Specialist.
Also Speaking, the Programme Manager. Engr. Bassey Otu Bassey lauded Engr. Echemi for his effort and humility, noting that he has inherent qualities, in terms of human relations and social interaction.
