Whyte Tasks Sharks’ Coaches on Team Work
Former Deputy Mayor of Port Harcourt Local Governemnt Council, Hon. Alphine Whyte, has charged the newly appointed Austin Eguavon led technical crew of Sharks Football Club of Port Harcourt to work together as a team to achieve their target.
Hon. Whyte stated this shortly after the unveiling ceremony of the new technical adviser of the club in Port Harcourt, last Saturday.
He urged the technical crew and the team to be committed to the progress of the club, saying, with the presence of the new coach, Sharks FC should be able to win her league matches.
“One thing is to be appointed as a technical adviser and another thing to win league matches and excel,” he said.
Hon Whyte also urged Nigerians to support the Falcons who are participating in the on-going Nations Cup in Equatorial Guinea.
He however expressed satisfaction over the level of support for women football, saying that in the past, there was less encouragement and motivation for female football.
Meanwhile, the former Deputy Mayor, has tipped Team Rivers for victory in the forthcoming 18th National Sports Festival in Lagos and urged the team to leave no stone unturned in defending the title.
