BA Introduces Special Discounts For Economy Passengers
United Kingdom mega carrier, British Airways, has introduced special summer discounts for economy passengers in Nigeria.
The airline said it was imperative for the carrier to introduce such promo following series of activities holding in UK during the summer, especially the Olympics.
The statement by the carrier’s office in Nigeria said, “It’s certainly the season of special offers for Nigerians planning to travel to the United Kingdom this summer, courtesy of British Airways. With a lot of activities going on in the United Kingdom this summer, including Wimbledon, The Olympics and Paralympics, BA has announced yet another special discount offer for its World Traveller (economy) class customers.”
According to the airline, the new offer is coming weeks after it introduced a number of special discount promos to several North American cities.
BA said customers travelling to London from Lagos and Abuja on the World Traveller (Economy) class could now experience its service for less.
The statement quoted BA Commercial Manager for Nigeria, Mr. Kola Olayinka, as saying that the offer was available for sale between June 21 and June 29, 2012.
According to Olayinka, BA passengers in the World Traveller class can now travel from Abuja or Lagos to London from as low as $439 and $489 respectively.
He said that outbound travel for the offer runs from 21 June till July 3, 2012. All fares, he added, were exclusive of all surcharges and taxes, and subject to availability. He said that with the offer, British Airways is providing its customers the chance to start their summer holidays early.
“We provide inclusive fares, a high free baggage allowance on all flights, free seat selection within 24-hours of departure, make no charge for bookings by debit card and we fly to mainstream airports close to the destination you want,” Olayinka said.
