In an interview with Tidesports immediately after the match, the team manger of Jeocasters FC who doubled as the team manager of Ambassador FC in pro-league division one, Mr. Emeka Levi said that despite the loss, his team was still in the competition as the best losers.
“We still have a match to play subsequently so we are still in the competition as the best losers,” Emeka enthused.
He also said that apart from the local competition, the national pro-league division one competition was on-going and getting involved in all these competitions caused a lot of fatigue in players, so a team could lose to an opponent under the condition.
“Only last Wednesday, we went to Enugu for our pro-league match which we won 3-0 and we came back today to face this match, you can see the effect though our loss today was really very unfortunate”, Emeka said.
