Zimbabwe Golf Association will host the 2013 All Africa Golf Team Championships, according to Tidesports source.

This year, the bi-annual Africa Amateur tournament is set to take place in South Africa.

Martin Rateiwa, the president of ZGA who announced the team to represent Zimbabwe, said they had already sought authority from the Sports Commission.

“We have sought permission from the Sports Commission to bid to host the next edition of the AACT.

“We are hopeful that we will win the bid to host the tournament and it will be a pleasure as we have good golfing structures in the country,” said Rateiwa.

The team of Clive Nguru, Emmanuel Hungwe, Nick Golbert Masunga and Kayman Mandhu will represent the country while Gordard will be the non-travelling reserve.

Zimbabwe successfully hosted the women’s All Africa Challenge Trophy and might get the nod to host the men’s event.
