Sharks FC Targets Top Four Finish
Sharks FC of Port Harcourt is determined to finish the 2011 ball league season among the top four teams in the country in order to earn a continental or regional ticket next term.
This aspiration was disclosed by the Assistant Coach of the team Davidson Bobmanuel in an interview with Tidesports in Port Harcourt.
The top four finish on the league will at least, gurantee the Blue Angels a West Africa Football Union (WAFU) cup ticket.
According to him, the team, which presently occupies the sixth position on the league table has been working hard to ensure that it moves up the league ladder at the end of this season.
He continued that though the league was suspended, the team trained intensively in order to keep fit and compete favourably when the league re-start on Sunday.
Speaking on the fourth-coming West Africa Football Union Cup. (WAFU). Bobmanuel said Sharks FC, who is defending champions of the Cup, will retain the trophy.
“There is no doubt that the Blue Angels would defend the WAFU trophy successfully, working towards achieving our desire,” he said.
