Dangote, NOTAP Partner On Manpower Dev
The National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion (NOTAP) said that it was partnering with Dangote Group of Companies to improve the number of skilled manpower in the country.
According to a statement made available to newsmen on Saturday in Abuja, Dr. Umar Bindir, the director-general of NOTAP, said this when he led a delegation of some of his technical staff to Obajana Cement Company, Obajana.
Signed by the Public Relations Officer of NOTAP, Mr. Raymond Ogbu, the statement said that the partnership was intended to address the shortage of skilled manpower in the country.
He said that the goal would be achieved through speedy transfer of foreign technologies in the cement sector to Nigerians.
He added that the partnership was important as Nigerian scientists and technologists had suffered acute unemployment due to the lack of needed technical skills required to sustain industrial development.
