…Wears New Look for Xmas
The Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa is now wearing a new look in preparation for Christmas and New Year celebration.
Everywhere one turns at the airport now, there are telltales signs of the Yuletide at the presidential wing and its precincts are well decorated.
As passengers stream in and out of the airport, they cannot but notice the aesthetic beautification of the place.
With the discriminatory fares being charged the increased passenger traffic and surge in freight volumes, it is also a good time for investors in aviation business.
All aspects of business are booming at the airport signifying a season when profit and safety appear to be together and no airline wishes to gamble with the feebles called promotional fares.
Meanwhile, a Lagos High Court has ordered the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to unconditionally release Mr. Michael Adebulehin, a South African Airways manager, arrested over alleged importation of 500 grammes of cocaine.
Ruling on a bail application brought by his counsel, Mr. Ajibola Dailley, Mr. Justic Bolaji Candide-Johnson held that the detention of Adebulehim by the NDLEA without filing a formal charge was “unlawful and a flagrant violation of his fundamental rights”.
The actions of the officials of the NDLEA in determining the applicant since November 19 is an unlawful violation of his right to personal liberty as guaranteed by the constitution.
