Cool, Wazobia FM Station Rewards Listeners
The Head of Stations, Cool and Wazobia FM radio stations in Rivers State, Mr. Ikechukwu Agu, has attributed the success of the stations to active broadcasting system which utilises interactive forum between the listeners and broadcasters.
Mr. Agu stated this in an exclusive interview with The Tide shortly after the stations gave out household property worth N400,000 to five lucky winners in their text and win promo, on Tuesday, in Port Harcourt.
According to him, giving back to their listeners is more like culture to the broadcasting house.
“Since we started Cool FM in Lagos State in 1996, giving out presents has been our culture. We always find a way to tell our listeners thank you”, he said.
The head of stations also said that broadcasters are aware that people out there are listening to them hence the need for creativity in presenting programmes.
Mr. Agu reiterated that the station would continue to air quality programmes that would be beneficial to the people in the country, particularly Rivers State.
“I discovered that we have a large audience listening to us, because over 35,000 persons entered in this text and win promo.
I believe this is because we are doing well”, he stated.
Speaking, one of the winners, Mr. Bibila Saturday who won one of the 22inch flat Screen LCD Television Sets commended the stations for giving back to its listeners through promotions.
Mr. Saturday further expressed joy over the television set he won and gave thanks to God for what he has done for him.
“First of all I give thanks to God for choosing me to be one of the lucky winners. I also thank Cool and Wazobia stations for the promo.
At the end of the lucky dip those who won prizes were, Godspower Viula, won sofa stainless chair, Evbuomwan David got home with six pieces of fabric, James Michael, and Bibila Saturday won 22inch flat screen LCD Televison sets, while Akpoezi O. Akporegwa go home with three seater metal chair.
