Threat Of Insecurity Worries Omoku Town Residents
Rivers State Government has been called upon to inaugurate a special security Task Force that would assist in reducing to the barest minimum the rate of insecurity, armed robbery and other forms of criminality at Omoku town, headquarters of the Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of the state.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive of Caledonia Hotel and Victoria Plaza, Mr Sunny Robert made the call during an interview with journalist at Omoku town, weekend.
He said that the call became imperative as the criminals carry out their nefarious activities and dastardly acts despite efforts made by the police and Joint Task Force (JTF) in the area.
According to Mr. Robert, there is tendency that the situation may be worse with the Nchaka traditional festival commencing today and the Yelutide, urging the governor to quickly dispatch a special security squad to Omoku town to save the people.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive stated that residents of Omoku town are no longer sure of safety of their lives and property as the normal peaceful atmosphere in the Community is no more, urging the governor to come to the people’s rescue.
Mr. Robert said that armed robbers had attacked Caledonia Hotel and Victoria Plaza located at No 21 Cemetery road, Omoku, robbed guests of their belongings, destroyed properties worthy thousands of naira and carted away huge sum of money.
