… Administrator Wants Opposition Members To Mend Fence

Opposition parties in Rivers state have been advised to sheathe their swords in the struggle for supremacy, and embrace the true reconciliatory initiatives of Rt Hon Amaechi’s administration.

Dr Ngboawaji Daniel Nte ‘the Administrator of Savannah College of Technology, Port Harcourt who gave the advice in an exclusive interview with The Tide On Sunday in Port Harcourt described the unity government  initiated by Rt Hon Chibuike Amaechi as a very wonderful approach geared towards ensuring lasting peace in the state.

He observed that the approach was a strategy for mending fences in building bridges among aggrieved people in the state, as well as, among the political parties, so that the state can move to a greater height.

Dr Nte, enjoined the people of the state to always make suggestions and contributions that would bring about the needed unity and by extension, sustainable development in the state.

Describing Rt Hon Chibuike Amaechi as a visionary and focused leader, Dr Nte expressed optimism that the laudable projects embarked upon by the governor, would certainly afford the people of the state the opportunity to reap the dividends of democracy.

He commended the governor for the on-going demolition exercise, as this was aimed at giving a face lift and a better living environment for the people.
